May - Better Hearing Month
Did you know that May is Speech and Hearing Month??
Have you ever considered how important your ability to communicate is? It is probably much more valuable than we realize!! The next time you order your coffee, or lunch, try ordering without using speech. Or try and communicate with someone while having ear plugs in your ears.
I'm sure you will quickly find how important it is!!
This is why it is so important to have your hearing assessed regularly and consider early intervention, in terms of:
1. protecting our hearing from irreversible noise damage, and
2. if hearing loss is present, early detection and early intervention
